Hilltopper Football Information & Facts

*The Hilltoppers have been in the playoffs 22 times between the years 1987-2024, including the last 7 consecutive years..

*Chardon Football features an outstanding strength, speed, & agility off-season program. This off-season program has undoubtedly contributed to a reduction in injuries over recent seasons. Off-season training opportunities begin at the end of 6th grade and continue through middle school with the ‘Thunder Club’ program.

*Chardon M.S. competes in the Western Reserve M.S. Conference. Separate 7th & 8th grades teams are fielded and players are not cut from this program. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Chardon Athletics will compete in the Chagrin Valley Conference.

*The Hilltoppers are fortunate to play in front of strong community support each week. From the ‘Crazies’ in the student section to the packed stands, our community provides an environment that is unlike any other. In fact, between 1993-2000 Chardon won 35 straight home games.
